A proposition is not a blend of words.—(Just as a theme in music is not a blend of notes.)
A proposition is articulate.
ここでの "articulate" は、その前の行の "blend of words" 「語の寄せ集め」(野矢茂樹 訳)に対してのもので、
"articulate" には「分節」でいうところの「分」だけではなくて「節」の意味もあって*1*2、「節」と同様の「繋ぐ」という意味もある*3*4。
それから、もっと早く見るべきだったけど、 "articulate" は、リーダーズ英語中辞典によると、
articulate
形容詞
発音［言語の］明晰な，歯切れのよい；
〈音声が〉分節的な〘音節・単語の区切りがある〙；
自分の考えをはっきり表現できる，ちゃんとものが言える，発言できる；
明確に表された；
という前提での、

命題は語の寄せ集めではない。—(音楽の主題が音の寄せ集めではないように。)
命題が語へと分節化されるのである。
